This page gives general pricing information if you want to license an image for commercial use, such as:
  • Advertising, brochures or other promotion of a product or service
  • Newpaper or Magazine editorial
  • Web pages
  • Text Books, Art Books, CD Covers, Posters, Calendars, etc.

To determine the license fee for your use, determine your image size first, then identify the appropriate rate table.

For print resolutions, inches/mm sizes imply 300dpi
  Images are provided in digital format only, sized at 266 dpi according to the chart on the right, and delivered using JPG compression level 9, which is reasonable for most output purposes. (Raw tiff files are delivered only upon special request.)
  Prices listed are for one image on a one-time use basis. Per-image discounts may apply for multiple images or uses or both.
  Images are made available for internet download only after payment is received.
  Payment is in US dollars only, and must be made by United States Postal Service Money Order or by check.

Rate Tables

Powerpoint/Overhead Presentation

Fees for such use is generally $50/image.
Rates may be higher based on size, placement and geographic target.
  For a specific quote, indicate the image(s) you're interested in, use (web address, presentation, etc), and the context of use (web banner, customer presentation, lecture, etc.)
  If you already have a prototype page set up, show me.

CD Cover Art

  Images to be used for CD covers for musical artists is a flat $50/image fee.
  You may use the image for cover art, web use, and any promotional use for the associated CD.

Rate Tables for Most Common License Requests

Charts are guidelines only; pricing is not established till human confirmation.
Licensing reflects national and international distribution.
Rate are lower if your "distribution" area covers a smaller region (N/A Web)
Discounts available for multiple images and multiple uses (except Web).
Print circulations for over 1 million are negotiated on a case-by-case basis
"Cover" assume Full Page and either the front or back covers (N/A Web).
